I was walking around the Terminal 2 departure hall of New Tokyo International Airport (新東京国際空港), also known as Tokyo-Narita Airport (東京成田空港) and Narita International Airport (成田国際空港) in the city of Narita (成田市), Chiba Prefecture (千葉県), Japan (日本). It’s located approximately 60 kilometers from the central area of Tokyo.
Supposedly, it has been the busiest airport in Japan.
Supposedly, it should have been crowded on a typical Sunday during August.
However, it was almost empty and only a few people were in Terminal 2 departure hall because of the affection of coronavirus (COVID19).
As you can see the flight board in this video, 90% of flights got canceled on the day around 2:10.
It was a strange feeling to walk around such an empty airport.
